power ballads!I want to change this blogskin without undoing the chat box D: michelee, I think I'll go look through the old cbox stuff and check again the links you gave me for templates. I can't wait for the september hols. but in a way, they aren't that great either. because they are only a week long, and exams come really soon after that. the teachers all say stuff is being moved up and being graded faster because of the YOG. and once I thought about that, it didn't make sense to me anymore. well. at least mgs ends the school year early:D oh, michelee gave me my birthday present last week when I went to her house!:D yes, my birthday was a long time ago but it doesn't matter. a letter folded nicely and drawn on somewhat in the manner of a postcard? nonono. but it was wonderful and she gave me a self-made stuffed..cuddly bear soft toy:) and a green dragonfly thing. did I mention this posts back? well, anyway this year people gave me some really unexpected, and cool stuffs for my birthday and I don't think I thanked them enough. so I'll thank michelee here, for present! oh and happy looks so completely different from the last time/s I saw him! he is the most absolute kawaiiis now. his leg fur is cut less, and poofs out, and looks like baggy pajama pants^^ and the fur around his ears is long too. whenever I saw him in the past he always had short fur. now it's different but incredibly cute too. at assembly today(a different one from morning assembly) there was a student suggestion thing. a week ago people were supposed to drop suggestions regarding school into this box somewhere. well, today they discussed them - what the suggestions were, what they'll do bout them and why. I thought it was a waste of time. the prefectorial board ran it, apparently. in fact, a lot of stuff is completely organized by the students, which isn't very fair, I think>.< style="font-style: italic;">inadequate) reasons why those rules were there, then the students would think 1. the rules were stupid (AND THEY ARE) and 2. they could dispute the existence of every school rule. but they really didn't give substantial, good reasons. I thought it was awful. for instance, there are two rules which probably only this school has in the entire world. except for school convents, I guess. the first is that we have to braid our hair if it reaches past our collars in a ponytail. for goodness' sake. this girl from our class brought this up during the not-at-all open discussion during assembly. and she made her case really well, I think. a large number of girls look better w/o braiding their hair, because when they do large pieces of hair stick out over it, because their hair is layered. also, it's really easy to forget to braid, because most come from schools where this isn't necessary. and if you forget to braid, you get demerit points when you get booked. this sucks majorly. most people go along with this dumb rule, but it's unnecessary. in response, the prefects said that the rule was to maintain a wholesome appearance and self-discipline. they said those girls with layered hair had to take responsibility for their choice. and the principal came up afterwards and said she feels so proud when she goes to other schools and she sees how much neater we are, in general. she kept going on about how in such a huge school, we can never reach a solution where everyone is happy. hello? you can try to reach the best one available, can't you? that's exactly what this whole student suggestion thing was for. the braiding rule is completely unnecessary and troublesome. oh, and she said year after year the hair rule has been brought up, but a lot of people (sources?) asked to just stop arguing about it because it would be easier and move on to other more pressing school issues. the second rule is that we have to keep our handphones in our lockers, and can only use it on the ground floor, and not near any educational facilities. I am sick of ranting so I won't go on about their reasons for keeping the rule. in fact, the only things they agreed to discuss further officially were vegetarian cutlery and this rather gross thing I don't think you want me to mention. oh well. another blog post about school >.< I better go now. |
